Precast Pool Installation FAQs
Practical answers about access, excavation, foundations and the steps involved in installing a Plungie pool.
How much does a precast plunge pool installation cost?
The installed cost depends on the pool model, excavation, ground conditions, foundation requirements, crane access and equipment. Decking, fencing, heating and site-specific engineering can also affect the total. Aquaman provides a site-specific quote with clear inclusions and exclusions.
How long does the on-site installation take?
On a straightforward, prepared site, excavation and pool placement can often be completed over two days. Day 1 generally covers excavation and preparation; Day 2 covers the crane lift and pool placement. Plumbing, electrical connections, fencing, surrounds and final certification depend on the agreed scope.
What happens before installation begins?
We assess the proposed pool position, access, finished levels, ground conditions and nearby structures or services. Pool availability, engineering, approvals and crane arrangements are coordinated before the installation is scheduled.
Can a plunge pool be installed with narrow side access?
Narrow access does not automatically rule out a precast pool. The shell is craned into position, while excavation equipment and spoil removal need a workable access plan. Crane size, reach, setup area and overhead obstacles are assessed for each property.
Can you coordinate the approval and engineering process?
Yes. Aquaman can coordinate building certification and the engineering required for the proposed installation. The pathway depends on the property and pool design, including setbacks, easements, overlays, ground conditions and nearby structures. The requirements are assessed before work starts.
Can the pool be installed above ground or on a sloping site?
Above-ground, partly above-ground and sloping-site installations may be possible, subject to the pool manufacturer's requirements and suitable engineering. Foundation support, soil embedment, retaining work, drainage and finished levels need to be assessed for the actual site.
What if there is a sewer or easement near the pool?
Nearby underground services and easements need to be identified early. Their position and depth may affect the pool location, foundation design and approval process. Site-specific engineering or service-provider assessment may be required; we do not assume a standard foundation will suit every site.
Which Plungie models do you install?
Aquaman installs the Quad, Studio, Arena, Original and Max. The best choice depends on the available space, intended use, finished levels and crane access. View our pool range or arrange a site assessment to compare the options.
Can heating and a mineral system be included?
Yes. Heating and low-salt or mineral chlorination can be planned as part of the equipment package. Equipment selection depends on the pool volume, desired temperature, power supply and available space. Planning these items before installation makes plumbing and electrical coordination easier.
What should I have ready for a site assessment?
Send the property address, photos of the proposed pool area and access, the pool model you are considering, and any available site plans or service information. Include your ideas for decking, fencing and heating so the quote can cover the intended scope.
