Your Questions Answered
What documents do I need to submit to the council for a pool permit?
You will require a soil report, sewer plan, title certificate, and site plan with details marked, such as the pool location and distance from the boundaries. On this plan, a fence plan needs to be marked out with a gate location. If you don't have this information, we can generate it for you.
How much does a pool cost to make and install?
We will need to gather more information regarding your site, access, location, weight of the plunge pool and whether it's above or below ground. Leave us a message on the contact page to arrange a phone call or site visit. Packages start at $31,000, which includes a permit, insurance, and delivery.
How long does the process take?
Once we have entered into a contract together, we can submit the application to the council. Depending on which council area you're in, it can take 2–4 weeks. This is the ideal time to purchase your pool, as lead times are generally consistent. Once we have obtained a permit and Plungie has completed your build, it typically takes us one to two weeks to arrive at the site and 2–3 days to install your new pool.
Can we purchase the Plungie pool through you and save on installation?
Purchasing your Plungie through us will cost the same amount; the recommended retail price (RRP) for all Plungies remains unchanged. Our installations are a fixed-price service; our price packages are discounted when purchased through us. Not to mention our very competitive prices on after-sales equipment, such as heaters.
What chemical system should I use?
The choice of chemical system depends on your personal preference. Options include chlorine, salt, or more natural options like mineral or magnesium water. All our pools are quoted with mineral or magnesium salts. Mineral or magnesium pool water is gentle on sensitive skin, provides a more natural feel, and is beneficial to your health.
How long is the warranty on a Plungie pool?
The QBCC Home warranty insurance is valid for 7 years from the date of installation. Plungie's manufacturer's warranty is 10 years for any defects.
What exclusions should I consider from our supplied quote?
We don’t include the cost of electrical works, permanent pool fencing, landscaping, soil removal and dumping (if required) or crane hire (if required).
Will I need a crane for installation?
The requirement for a crane during pool installation often depends on the accessibility of your backyard and the specific type of pool. In numerous cases, a crane becomes necessary to hoist and position the pool shell accurately. Typically, on a vacant block, the crane truck should be able to approach within a meter of the pool's intended location for the crane to perform its task effectively.
